Ditrymacus athiasellus KEIFER (Acarina - Eriophyoidea) ON OLIVE TREES IN APULIA
The Eriophyid mite, Ditrymacus athiasellus Keifer (Eriophyidae, Phyllocoptinae), has been found on Olive (Olea europea L.) in Apulia. Morphological details observed under scanning electron microscope are described. Besides the characteristics reported in the origina! Keifer's description, it has been observed from 12 to 18 small spines on the anterior edge of the shield lobe and a cuticular ornamentation of the coxe with granules.
