L’insegnamento interculturale del russo come lingua straniera: problemi vecchi e nuovi

Linda Torresin

Abstract

The article explores the issues of teaching Russian as a foreign language in the intercultural context. In particular, it focuses on the theoretical level, where certain interpretations of the intercultural approach may give rise to cultural essentialism. The same cultural essentialism is found in the representations of the Russian world offered by textbooks, as well as in certain forms of current censorship and ostracism against Russian culture.
