Statement by the Presidency of COMECE in support of Ukraine and its people amid deepening geopolitical complexities and uncertainties

Abstract

The context of the situation in Ukraine is increasingly complicated, especially because the proposal that is gaining ground does not lead to peace, but to the immediate submission of an exhausted country and could constitute the premise for a resurgence of episodes of conflict and war. In this complex framework, the statement of Tuesday 4 March by the Presidency of the Commission of the Episcopal Conferences of the European Union (COMECE) is of great interest, with which he expresses strong support for Ukraine.
