L’impresa e la sostenibilità (The evolving relationship between business and sustainability)

Abstract

Il contributo esamina l’evoluzione del rapporto tra impresa e sostenibilità, mostrando come i fattori ESG e le recenti iniziative normative europee stiano trasformando l’organizzazione e gli obiettivi dell’impresa. La sostenibilità, un tempo pratica volontaria, sta progressivamente diventando un obbligo legale che influenza la gestione dell’impresa, i doveri degli amministratori e l’equilibrio tra gli interessi dei soci e quelli degli stakeholder.

The paper examines the evolution of the relationship between business and sustainability, showing how ESG factors and recent European regulatory initiatives are transforming the organisation and objectives of a business. Sustainability, once a voluntary practice, is progressively becoming a legal obligation that affects corporate governance, directors’ duties, and the balance between shareholders’ interests and those of stakeholders.
