NORME REDAZIONALI

Cross-Media Languages. Applied Research, Digital Tools and Methodologies è una rivista accademica internazionale peer reviewed, che esplora le intersezioni tra ricerca, riflessione critica e sperimentazione didattica delle potenzialità applicative di strumenti e metodologie digitali nell’ambito della formazione linguistica.

La rivista ha cadenza annuale; pubblica articoli, rigorosamente originali e sottoposti a double-blind peer review, e recensioni. È prevista una organizzazione monografica dei numeri e/o la presenza di micro-sezioni tematiche che abbiano un minimo di tre contributi ognuna. Ad essi può aggiungersi una sezione di contributi diversi (Varia). Oltre al numero annuale, si prevede la possibilità di numeri speciali.

Le lingue di lavoro della rivista sono l’inglese, il francese, l’italiano. Sono possibili proposte di contributi in lingue diverse, che devono essere approvate dalla direzione e dal comitato editoriale.

STRUTTURA DEL CONTRIBUTO

Il contributo, rigorosamente inedito, deve essere consegnato alla redazione in formato Microsoft Word (.doc/.docx/.rtf) e deve avere una lunghezza complessiva di 35000 battute. Per le recensioni la lunghezza complessiva è invece di 6000 battute.

La redazione curerà l’invio dell’articolo, in forma anonima, a due referee per la double-blind peer review. Solo dopo approvazione gli articoli, con eventuali modifiche, saranno ammessi alla pubblicazione.

La valutazione delle recensioni sarà invece effettuata dal Direttore e dal Comitato editoriale.

Formato pagina: margine superiore: 2,5 cm; inferiore: 2 cm; sinistro: 2 cm; destro: 2 cm.

Titolo: Times New Roman 14, maiuscolo grassetto, centrato, tondo.

Autore: Times New Roman 12, maiuscoletto, centrato, tondo.

Recapito Mail dell’autore: in nota a piè di pagina dal nome dell’autore, insieme con affiliazione. Times New Roman 10.

Abstract: In italiano e in inglese, 500 caratteri. Times New Roman 11, giustificato, tondo.

Parole chiave: cinque, separate da punto e virgola e con punto finale. Times New Roman 11, giustificato, tondo.

Citazioni inferiori a tre righe

Le citazioni sono poste fra virgolette basse («…»); nel caso di citazioni interne a un’altra citazione si utilizzano le virgolette alte doppie («... “...”...»). Se all’interno di una citazione vengono aggiunte parole o frasi, queste devono essere poste entro parentesi quadre. Le omissioni devono essere segnalate con tre puntini tra parentesi quadre: [...].

Citazioni superiori a tre righe

Times New Roman 11, rientro di 1 cm a destra e a sinistra, distanziate con interlinea singola, 14 punti dal paragrafo precedente e successivo, non racchiuse fra virgolette, con punto finale. Nel caso di citazioni interne si utilizzano le virgolette alte doppie (“...”). Se si aggiungono parole o frasi, queste devono essere poste entro parentesi quadre. Le omissioni devono essere segnalate con tre puntini tra parentesi quadre: [...]. Punto finale.

Immagini, tabelle e grafici

Centrate rispetto alla pagina, distanziate con 1 interlinea dal rigo precedente. Immagini, tabelle e grafici devono essere corredati di didascalia e numerati progressivamente. Se il contributo contiene più di cinque immagini, tabelle e/o grafici, questi ultimi andranno inseriti in appendice.

Elenchi puntati o numerati

Times New Roman 12, interlinea singola, giustificato, con rientro sporgente di 0,7 cm. Spaziatura prima e dopo 3 punti.

Nota Bio-Bibliografica: Times New Roman 12, giustificato, tondo. Massimo 200 parole.

CONVENZIONI TIPOGRAFICHE

Segni di interpunzione

I segni di interpunzione devono seguire immediatamente la parola che li precede e devono essere distanziati da quella che li segue da uno spazio, fatta eccezione per le parentesi, che saranno spaziate rispetto al testo esterno alla parentesi ma non rispetto a quello interno.

Virgolette

Le virgolette caporali («…») si usano per le citazioni.

Le virgolette doppie (“…”) si utilizzano per le citazioni interne ad altre citazioni.

Le virgolette singole (‘…’) si usano per sottolineature enfatiche o attenuazioni prudenziali.

Trattini

Si utilizzano due tipi di trattini:

breve (-) per parole composte, parole doppie, per le date e per gli intervalli di pagine secondo i seguenti esempi: ambito linguistico-letterario; 2015-2017, pp. 20-22.
medio o di congiunzione (–), sempre preceduto e seguito da uno spazio, per gli incisi.

Numeri e date

I numeri di pagine vanno riportati sempre per esteso (120-122, non 120-22 né 120-2).

Le date si indicato con numeri arabi, in formato gg.mm.aaaa.

Didascalie

Times New Roman 11, centrate, distanziata con interlinea 1 da immagini/tabelle/grafici. Le didascalie vanno numerate progressivamente.

Note a piè di pagina

Times New Roman 10, giustificato, con rientro sporgente di 0,3 cm. Le note a piè di pagina, di carattere esplicativo, andranno numerate con numeri arabi progressivi. Nel testo, il rimando alla nota a piè di pagina va posto all’interno della punteggiatura (testo1.)

Rimandi bibliografici

Secondo il sistema delle short references, i rimandi bibliografici si inseriscono nel testo, fra parentesi tonde, riportando il cognome dell’autore o del curatore e l’anno di edizione seguito, in caso di citazione letterale, dai due punti e dal numero di pagina/e. Nel caso di due o più autori o curatori si cita solo il primo, seguito dalla dicitura et al. in corsivo. Se si citano più opere uno stesso autore con la stessa data di pubblicazione, queste dovranno essere accompagnate dai suffissi a, b, c… immediatamente dopo l’anno di edizione.

AUTHORS’ GUIDELINES

Cross-Media Languages. Applied Research, Digital Tools and Methodologies is an international peer-reviewed academic journal that explores the intersection between research, critical reflection and educational practices, with particular focus on theoretical, methodological, experimental research for the application of digital tools and methodologies within the field of linguistics and language pedagogy.

The Journal is published annually with a strict double-blind peer review policy for original articles, reports of empirical studies, and case studies. The yearly volume will be monographic and includes the possibility for micro-theme inserts of no fewer than 3 papers. A ‘Miscellaneous’ section for articles of interest outside the Volume’s reach may also be created. Special Editions are planned.

Languages for publication are: English, French and Italian. Articles presented in other languages must be approved by the Editorial Committee.

Guidelines for Abstract submission

FORMATTING GUIDELINES

Original manuscripts should be submitted in Microsoft Word format (.doc/.docx/.rtf) and should not exceed 35000 characters in length (spaces included). Reports should not exceed 6000 characters (spaces included).

The Editorial Committee will send each blinded manuscript to two peer reviewers. Articles are accepted for publication only after passing the peer review process (minor amendments are accepted).

Reports will undergo internal evaluation by the General Editor and the Editorial Committee.

Page Format: top margin: 2,5 cm; bottom margin: 2 cm; left margin: 2 cm; right margin: 2 cm.

Title: Times New Roman 14, bold, all caps, centred.

Author: Times New Roman, 12 points, small caps, centred.

Author’s E-mail Address: in footnote, followed by the Author’s Affiliation. Times New Roman, 10 points. The superscript number should be inserted after the Author’s name.

Abstract: 500 characters, in Italian and English. Times New Roman, 11 points, justified.

Keywords: 5, separated by a semicolon. The last keyword is followed by a full stop. Times New Roman, 11 points, justified.

Section Heading: Times New Roman, 12 points, bold, justified, consecutively numbered with Arabic numerals.

Sub-section Heading: Times New Roman, 12 points, justified, consecutively numbered with Arabic numerals.

Body Text

Times New Roman, 12 points, single spacing, justified, indentation 1 cm. No spacing before and after the paragraph.

Short Quotations (under three lines)

Short quotations should be included in quotation marks («…»). Quotations within quotations should be included within double quotes ((«... “...”...»). Additions should be included within square brackets. Omissions should be indicated using three dots within square brackets: […].

Block Quotations (longer than three lines)

Times New Roman, 11 points, indented 1 cm left and right, single spacing from the previous line, ends with a full stop. Do not enclose block quotations in quotation marks. Quotations within block quotations are indicated with double quotes (“...”). Additions should be included within square brackets. Omissions should be indicated placing three dots within square brackets: […].

Figures, Tables and Graphs

Centred on the page, single spaced from the previous line. Each figure, table or graph should be captioned and numbered with Arabic numerals. If the manuscript contains more than five figures, tables or graphs, they will be put in a separate Appendix.

Bulleted or numbered Lists

Times New Roman, 12 points, single spacing, justified, with a hanging indent of 0.7 cm. 3-point spacing before and after.

Bio-note: Times New Roman, 12 points, justified. Maximum length: 200 words.

TYPOGRAPHICAL CONVENTIONS

Punctuation Marks

Punctuation marks should immediately follow the preceding word, and be followed by a space. The only exception are parenthesis, separated by a single space from the text outside the parenthesis, but not from the text inside the parenthesis.

Quotations

Quotation marks («…») are used for short quotations.

Double quotes (“…”) are used for quotations within (block) quotations.

Single quotes (‘…’) are used to distance oneself from an expression or to emphasise a word or a phrase.

Dashes

Please use:

the n-dash ( - ), not preceded or followed by a space, in compound words;
the m-dash ( – ), preceded and followed by a space, to indicate a sudden interruption in the continuity of a sentence.

Numbers and Dates

Page numbers should be indicated in full (120-122, instead of 120-22 or 120-2). Date format: dd.mm.yyyy.

Captions

Times New Roman, 11 points, centred, single spacing from the figure/table/graph. Numbered consecutively with Arabic numerals.

Tables/Graphs: Table/Graph x. Schematic caption, Source: Institution year.

Footnotes

Times New Roman, 10 points, justified, with hanging indent of 0,3 cm. Footnotes should be only explanatory and should be numbered consequently using Arabic numerals. The superscript number should be inserted in the text before any punctuation marks.

Short References

American system: Author’s name followed by date and page number, within brackets. In the case of two or more authors/editors, cite only the first author/editor, followed by et al. (italics). When citing two or more works by the same author/editor and with the same publication date, mark them with a letter of the alphabet (a, b, c…) immediately after the year of publication.

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission’s compliance with all the following items. Submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.
